The source study stays intact, and every cloud link requires an authenticated, confirmed patient decision.
Local first
Opening a disc or folder does not upload it. Cloud transfer starts only after you sign in and confirm the patient link.
Exact source files
Microdoc preserves the DICOM objects rather than replacing them with screenshots or lossy exports.

Yes. Choose the mounted CD, external drive, or a folder. The app discovers DICOM files by their contents rather than relying on file extensions.
No. Local review stays on the Mac. Upload is a separate action after you sign in, choose a patient, and confirm the link.
Yes. The current workspace supports a two-view comparison and reference lines that show the corresponding location when the series geometry is compatible.
No. The current build is a private pre-regulatory research preview. It is not an authorized diagnostic medical device.
A download is shown only when a signed and notarized Mac build has passed Microdoc's internal acceptance gate. Until then, no public artifact is distributed.
